Q4 2023 Surge in Latin America's iOS City Building Games

As Q4 2023 came to a close, the city building game genre on iOS devices has seen some interesting trends in Latin America. Sensor Tower's latest data provides a comprehensive look into the performance of the top five games in this category.

SimCity BuildIt by Electronic Arts showed a strong quarter with a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $16M in the last week of December. Downloads also reached a high of 13.4K in the same period, while weekly active users surged to 67K by the end of the quarter.

Another title from Electronic Arts, The Simpsons™: Tapped Out, experienced a significant spike in revenue mid-quarter, reaching $31K in the week of November 13. Downloads for this game saw a high of 24.4K in late November, and weekly active users climbed to over 60K in the same month.

Mars Era Limited's Isekai:Slow Life had a more modest performance, with revenues peaking at $1.7K in the final two weeks of the quarter. The game's downloads saw an impressive jump to 5.7K in early October, though active users saw a general decline, settling at 2.6K by the end of December.

TheoTown, developed by blueflower UG, showed a steady increase in revenue, ending the quarter with $250 in the last week of December. The game's downloads peaked at 1.5K in the same period, and weekly active users more than doubled from the start of the quarter, reaching 1.7K.

Lastly, MY.GAMES B.V.'s Global City: Building Games saw its revenue fluctuations throughout the quarter, with a noticeable peak of $987 in mid-November. An extraordinary spike in downloads occurred in late November, hitting 4.7K, while active users saw their peak at 5.7K in early December.
